Staying busy

     So it has been quite some time since I've posted a blog, but I didn't mean for this much time to pass. A lot has been keeping me busy this past year (talking about 2017). I was working a full-time job (aerospace quality assurance((hence my keen eye))), writing a new album with my band (Yes! the cats out of the bag. I am lead vocalist in Frequency Within) and taking as many shoots as I could. Sounds like a ton to do right?

     Well once 2017 ended and a few major life events happened to where I was forced to look at my busy schedule and realize "I am letting life whiz right past me....I'm not fully enjoying my twenties" 

 I looked over what should stay and what should go in my life. Of course, my photography business was apart of the hypothetical stay pile. I mean I worked way too hard to get to this point and what is life or even who am I without having a camera in my hand?! 

My band was another part of the stay pile because well....we just got signed to a label and music is in my DNA it allows me to express myself completely.

My day job...well it wasn't something I loved doing and even though the stability of a steady income kept some pressures off of me I felt like I was allowing certain photo opportunities pass me up because I was chained to a 9-5 job. So when the right opportunity presented itself I took a deep breath, took a step back, and took the plunge. 

I am now proud to say I am a full-time photographer!!

So what am I up to now in 2018?

Well if you have been following my Instagram, Facebook, or the new app Vero then you already know I am on a little U.S. Tour gigging with a few flights back here to Cali to shoot portraits and a wedding (which I am so excited to blog about next to show off some beautiful pics). 

So bring it on 2018! I'm ready for the Portraits, Weddings, and Corporate gigs!! <3
